San Shou Kickboxing (also known as San Da or Chinese kickboxing) is both a no-nonsense self defence system and a popular sporting format. It draws it's roots from Chinese military training and from the formal challenge matches fought by Kung Fu masters throughout history. San Shou takes the core principles of traditional Chinese fighting systems and supplements them with modern training methods and proven ring strategies from western boxing, kickboxing, Thai boxing and wrestling.

San Shou offers students a strong foundation in the key areas of punching, kicking, clinching and throwing, giving them an excellent basis for effective self defence or for a number of sporting formats. In addition classes involve a strong cardiovascular training element to develop ring fitness, making it a superb choice for health and weight loss.

San Shou classes at Swindon Choy Li Fut and San Shou club involve fitness training, pad work, partner work and sparring, and are conducted in a safe and friendly manner.
